Updates get posted on our Participate page and within your Studio in the Pop Up window.

We do not currently have any major updates specifically for the blog, but I do know we have some great things planned.

AdminMichael (Forum Admin, Webydo) commented  ·

You're welcome. I don't have a release date for our next update at this time. But as soon as we update it we will let you know.

AdminMichael (Forum Admin, Webydo) commented  ·

    Hello David,

When working with the main blog elements, it works as a template. Meaning, if you change the size of the image or the location it will do the same for all your posts. However when adding new elements, it adds them as if it were a regular page .These are not being added as blog elements. If you want to use these elements as a template, create your layout - once done duplicate the page in Pages & Navigation instead of creating a new blank post. It will copy your template and you can make any changes to your content that you want.

To edit the URL's go into the page settings. Each blog post is just a page in your site, so edit it the way you normally would.

We will be working on updating the blog so it works more intuitively, it is currently still in BETA.

    Thank you for your feedback.

    Hello Louisa,

You can setup a redirect directly on your dashboard. Click on the settings icon for the site in question, then choose the redirect tab.

Be sure to publish after setting up the 301 redirects.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

    Hello,

We don't have a way to remove the .html yet from the site, but there is a workaround that you can use for specific pages in your site.

In settings on your dashboard, you can set up 301 redirects. So if you have a specific page in your site you want to send users to, you can set up a redirect so that www.mysite.com/about will lead to www.mysite.com/about.html

Thank you so much for this feedback. We will review it and hopefully develop it soon.

    Hello,

The form order is based on the order it was created in. If the date field was the first field you created when building the form, then it will be first in your email.

If you would like to send the form to us for review, please feel free to do so.
Be sure to include your SID and which page the form is located on. You can send it to support@webydo.com

Links to a URL will always open in a new tab. This is true for the Full Width and Hover Effects.
I will see what we can do about adding in a right click for the links and not just the images.

AdminMichael (Forum Admin, Webydo) commented  ·

Our new galleries actually have a right click option.

If you right click the image, you have the option to open the image in a new tab.
If the image is linked to a URL when you click on the link it automatically opens it into a new tab. So there is no need to right click.

    I hope this helps :)

    Hello Hannah,

The footer itself is a permanent part of the site, it cannot be deleted. It's also an important piece in any site, if you send an email to support@webydo.com with your SID we will be happy to help you.

The best place to check for updates is with the Participate page link I pasted before.
If you vote for the update, then you will get automatic updates when we change the status.

Currently this feature is still under review and has not been developed yet.

But the more votes it gets, the faster it will get developed.

AdminMichael (Forum Admin, Webydo) commented  ·

    Hello Aaron,

If you want to use a website design you created for another site, you can duplicate the site and make any edits you want to your new site. The sites are not linked to each other and duplicating the site will duplicate everything over for you so you do not need to re-create your design at all.

For specific elements, we do not currently offer copy/paste between sites. However we are looking into developing a feature for saving designs of elements that can be brought into any site in your account. Please follow our participate forum as well, for updates on features.

Here is the current post for your request:

    http://participate.webydo.com/forums/191312-participate-vote/suggestions/5588171-merge-sites-and-copy-paste-items-between-sites

    Thank you for your suggestions.

    Hello Aaron,

Thank you for sending in a message to chat support in addition to the message here. I have the reference number from your attempted charge. I have already contacted BlueSnap and am awaiting their reply, as soon I have any news I will update you via email.

You have an account manager here at Webydo that you can always contact directly for a faster response time. I will let him know to reach out to you so you can be sure to have his contact info.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

    Hello James,

Thank you for your suggestion. I will pass it on to our product team.

In the meantime, I would suggest building your whole site first and then adding in the parallax at the end. That way you will not run into this issue.

Yesterday we experienced a 502 error due to an issue with the Google Cloud Load Balancer. They notified us that the issue was resolved as of 17:25 US Pacific time. All your sites should be back up and running normally.

If you are still experiencing any issues, please contact our support team. Support@webydo.com

    Hello David,

The hover effects element actually already has the fit to width option enabled. To turn this on, select the element and open the design panel. Check the box for Fit To Width, and your image will stretch to fit across the whole browser. Once published, the image will always fill the width of your browser.

    Enjoy!

    Aaron,

I'm going to try and consolidate all my answers into one comment.

    1. The trial limit is there because that is how we decided to do it. If we find that we need to change it in the future, we may. Currently the store is in [Beta] and there will be many changes coming in the following weeks.

    2. We do not charge for hosting of the store, nor do we add on any extra fees for the payment processor. The payment processor that you choose charges you, not Webydo. That is what I meant, I'm sorry if it was confusing. But Shopify will charge you, not for the processor itself but for the ability to use credit cards on your online store.

    3. The way cancellations work are this: You may cancel at any time. If it is before a renewal payment, we will stop the payment. If it is after a renewal, we cannot issue a refund. It's your choice if you prefer monthly or yearly. But we cannot give partial refunds on plans cancelled within a year.

    4. Here is a link for the article on importing products:
    http://knowledgebase.webydo.com/All-Articles-/875982272/How-do-I-import-a-list-of-products-to-my-store.htm

To attach images into the file, simply place the link to the image into the cell. It has nothing to do with the Media Library in Webydo. It's explained within the article in more depth. If you do not have the files already hosted, you can upload them directly into the Control Panel of the store.

Here is a sample file: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/208079105-Importing-products#Attachment

I hope this answered all of your questions.

    Alana

AdminMichael (Forum Admin, Webydo) commented  ·

    Hello Aaron,

We have a complete knowledge base on the store, where you can find answers for everything. You can find it here: http://knowledgebase.webydo.com/The-Webydo-Store/

As for payment, all you pay for is the store itself. It's one of the things separating us from the rest. Webydo does not take any additional fees for the store once purchased. In addition, you are able to design your store directly in the site. No need to add code or anything. I see you mentioned shopify in your post. Shopify can be a great solution, however they charge you extra fees and in addition do not allow you to easily embed the store into another platform. The stores are meant to be hosted by them.

You have a trial period for the store, where you can design it and show it to your client. So that you do not have to pay before showing it to your client. We understand your concern, which is why we offer this trial period. However, we will not be able to extend that trial for you once the store is created.

The robust sorting menu you mentioned at the end is not currently a feature available with the store. The Webydo store is powered by Ecwid, and so we cannot offer any features that they do not already offer. However, I will suggest them to add this, as it's a great feature.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.
